At The Table Read Co., we aim to support emerging theatre voices through intimate readings, feedback, and a collaborative space to grow your work from the page to the stage. We are a fresh company and our goal is to take your project (in whatever stage it is at) and give you a cast, space, and opportunity to hear it & possibly see it on its feet. We want to use our theatrical community to create opportunities for each other & uplift new writers together.

Our dream is to bring people together to create, boost, and appreciate new theatre.

FAQs

  • We welcome all early-stage musicals, plays, and collaborative projects from playwrights, composers, and lyricists. These projects are built for the stage and are in need of pre-performance production help. 

  • Once selected, you'll be paired with professional actors for readings, feedback sessions, and the opportunity to develop your work further. 

  • Currently, our table reads are free of charge as we aim to support and uplift emerging theatre voices. We have add ons, including more rehearsal time in the space, photography/videography, pianists, etc. Please send us a message to request our services menu with a cost breakdown provided. 

  • We rehearse at different rehearsal spaces around Midtown Manhattan. If you are out of the state, we have options to work over Zoom, but we prefer the cast to be in the same space. This is flexible depending on situation and goal outcome.
